63 of Washington County's licenses are small homes licensed for six or fewer residents, usually an ordinary house in a residential neighborhood with round-the-clock staff, under the same Chapter 144G license rules as a large building.
Small homes can offer a quieter, more consistent setting, and many accept Elderly Waiver funding. They also vary more than large buildings, so check the license type, the complaint investigation record and the UDALSA staffing disclosure for each one, and visit at night as well as during the day.
